Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa Restaurant: Winner of Two Taste of the Beach Awards
Fort Myers Beach, Florida, June 8, 2008 JoJo's on the Beach, Pink Shell's beachfront restaurant, has been named winner of
two of the five Taste of the Beach awards. Fourteen restaurants participated in the Taste of the Beach, an annual event
sponsored by the Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce.
JoJo's Black Bean Cakes took home first prize for Best Appetizer. The Black Bean Cakes are a flavorful blend of crushed black
beans, onions, jalapeño and spices breaded with crispy Japanese bread crumbs, deep fried, then served with a cilantro crème
fraiche and pico di gallo. JoJo's on the Beach also won Best Dessert for their scrumptious Mango Cheese Cake, made from a blend
of cream cheese and fresh mangos, baked in a graham cracker crust and topped with mango coulis.
We are glad to be able to participate in The Taste of the Beach and are fortunate to be appreciated by the judges in both Best
Appetizer and Best Dessert categories, says Craig Panneton, Executive Chef at the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa. It was great
to highlight the style and quality of the Pink Shell's culinary product. We look forward to future events.
JoJo's on the Beach is open to the public seven days a week serving lunch and dinner. Lunch guests will enjoy a menu of tropical
salads and wraps, while the dinner menu includes mouth-watering steaks and fresh seafood entrees.
